The City of Brandon requires every voter to provide proof of their identity and current address by showing identification. You have two options:

 

Option 1

Show one original piece of identification with your photo, name and address. It must be issued by a government agency.

 

Examples:

  • a valid Driver's License
  • Manitoba Identification card

   

Please note that documents such as passports and birth certificates DO NOT provide proof of current address and must be presented in conjunction with ID displaying current address.

 

Option 2

Show two original pieces of authorized identification that provide evidence of your identity and current address.

 

Examples:

  • Passport
  • Birth Certificate
  • Manitoba Health Services Commission card,
  • Manitoba Blue Cross card,
  • Social Insurance card,
  • student ID card
  • Credit/Debit card
  • Public Transportation card
  • an Old Age Pension/Security card,
  • an Income Tax Assessment statement,
  • Library card
  • a utility bill,
  • a credit card statement,
  • a blank, personalized cheque
  • vehicle insurance
  • Property Tax Assessment Notice
